What Idol, Ark or Throne?

What is this glitter above,
Of countless stars and suns?
Why this flame within,
Pages of the inspired sages,
Through millenia?

Who is this kindred spirit,
Friend, yet stranger,
Just met,
Yet companion of ages?

Is it Divine Light
Or sacred Fire,
Inferno, Crucible,
Forging gold from mud?

What Idol, Ark or Throne
Shall gorge upon these ingots
As a tithe?
