Once Upon a Time, Before Time
(written September 26, 2001 at 9:50 pm)
Once upon a time,
Before anything at all had ever existed,
Except God,
Even before Time,
God began talking to Himself,
To while away the time,
In a voice of many waters.
There was noone to answer,
But God is very patient.
The emptiness of non-being
W
as so echoey,
That the choruses of voices
Reverberating,
In morphic resonance;
Became a multitude and host.
The voices began asking,
"Who am I,"
"Where are you?"
But the Lord of Hosts, God, answered,
In a still, small voice, and said,
"Be still, and know that I am God."
And so,
They became still,
And knew that they were God,
And began talking to themselves,
Once upon a time,
Before Time,
To while away the time.
And so they became worlds,
Worlds within world,
World without end.
Amen!
